Barks & Bubbles offers full-service spa experiences for your pets!
Barks & Bubbles was named one of The 8 Best Pet Groomers in North Carolina by Best Things North Carolina: “The prices are reasonable, and the staff members make even the most nerve-wracking experience for any anxious pet a pleasant one.”
This full-service pet spa is owned by Carol Wyrick who has always loved animals. “My parents always treated them like one of the family,” she said. When she was 21, she took her pet Shih-tzu to Petsmart, and after watching the groomer for a bit she thought, “I could do that!”
- She applied for a job and that was the start of a 29-year career! “I decided dogs were the way to go and never looked back,” she said.
Carol had worked for a local company for 15 years when she made the decision to venture out on her own. Within 2 weeks she found her first location, did the renovations, and opened the doors on September 15, 2009! By 2019, she had outgrown her salon and needed to expand to her current location on Branchview Dr.
- “We provide excellent care to meet all of your furbaby’s grooming needs,” she said. “We also strive to accommodate any special needs and requirements as much as possible. Every puppy is welcome at Barks & Bubbles.” They even have services for cats. That’s right – they groom cats!
Customers will find a laid-back atmosphere at Barks & Bubbles, with dogs greeting you as you walk through the doors. They have a semi cage-free environment, which gives the dogs time to play and socialize while waiting on their services. Gates and doors are used to keep them safe and contained. They also offer playpens and kennels for dogs who need or want them, as well as per owner request. Some little doggies just do better away from the shenanigans!
The groomers at Barks & Bubbles have over 40 years of combined experience in the field and are knowledgeable about all types of breeds.
- “For a few hours, they are our babies too, so we want to keep them healthy and beautiful,” Carol says. “My employees are the best! They truly love what they do and love each pet that is on their schedule. My stylists have been with me ranging from 10 years to the ‘newest’ of almost 2 years.”
Want to pamper your pooch? Get them a full-service package including a haircut, bath, nail clipping or filing, and ear cleaning. Finishing touches include cologne and a spiffy bandana!
