The R&R Story
The story of R&R Bar-B-Que began when two friends, both named Robert (Robert Critz and Robert Elmore), decided to create a place with down-home, tasty dishes. 🤝🍽️ Honoring their origins, they incorporated a railroad theme into their restaurant, and the name R&R fit perfectly.
🚂 After all, their original restaurant, which opened in 1998, was located near the railroad tracks in Kannapolis.

These BBQ enthusiasts share a passion for vinegar-based BBQ that hasn’t wavered over the years. Not only does R&R Bar-B-Que slow cook and hand-chop their pork shoulder with love, but they also offer a unique Carolina-eating experience the moment you step inside. 👣💕 The warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with the friendly staff who feel like family, will make you feel right at home.
Supporting local businesses is a top priority for R&R Bar-B-Que, as they source most of their vendors from Cabarrus County and surrounding areas. They also give back to the community through blood drives, teacher support, and youth sports sponsorships. 🏆🏈💙 They will be taking part in Charlotte Motor Speedway’s “Round Up” program to benefit Speedway Children’s Charity during the week of the Coca-Cola 600.
