💐 Florist Carries on Family Tradition

Cut at an Angle is a unique, fun, and whimsical floral experience in Downtown Concord on the corner of Market and Cabarrus Avenue.
Kirsten Darnell is carrying on the floral design tradition that runs in her family. Her grandparents were florists for over 50 years, and she worked in the back of their shop processing flowers when she was younger.
The name of her shop comes from her grandpa who reminded her that step one of flower care is to always “cut the stem at an angle.”

The Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is a nationwide initiative that aims to fight hunger and poverty in the United States. Started in 1993, this event has become the largest single-day food drive in the country.
📬 🥫 How does it work? Leave a bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox, and your letter carrier will pick it up and deliver it to a local food bank or pantry.

🎉 Cheers to 50 YEARS! 🎊
CBC launched its latest collaboration with Harrisburg as they celebrate its 50th anniversary as an incorporated town.
“Rockin’ The Brew” is an American Light Lager brewed specifically for the Burg. The series is designed to commemorate the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s as they recognize all the monumental milestones the Town has achieved to make it what it is today.

🍇 Rocky River Vineyards Hosts Wine Tastings and Events

Rocky River Vineyards is a 45-acre, family-owned and operated vineyard and winery, tucked into the hills of Midland and was the first vineyard in Cabarrus County.
Big Meadow Creek flows through the property toward Rocky River, which is how the vineyard got its name. The land had been in the Elliott family for years, but it wasn’t until 2003 that Bob, Bill, and David Elliott planted the first muscadine vines. The winery was opened to the public in August of 2007.

Major recording artists are coming to Cabarrus County this summer! The Kannapolis Summer Concert Series is highlighted by Deana Carter, Grand Funk Railroad, Collective Soul, Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry, and Chairmen of the Board.
📍 Where is it happening? Concerts and movies are held at Kannapolis’ large outdoor amphitheater in Village Park. More concerts take place on Thursdays in Veterans Park. Movies take place on Friday evenings with a few Spanish movie nights on Sundays.
What do I need to know? Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Admission is free, but food and drinks will be for sale....
