If you’re a Kannapolis Cannon Ballers fan, you’re in for a treat! The team recently opened their NEW team store, now known as Cannon City Supply Co. The move brings with it an array of improvements and exciting changes. To learn more about what fans can expect from the new store, we spoke with Brent Sneed, Director of Retail Operations for the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers.
Brent said that it became evident early on that the original space would outgrow itself in a hurry. “Fans in Kannapolis are great,” he said, “once the decision was made to construct the building in right field, plans for the store to move into a larger space was one of the first considerations.”
The new store primarily differs from the previous store in size, roughly 5-times the size of the old store! Brent explained that a larger cash wrap, more space for increased merchandise variety, and a shared wall with the Towel City Tavern, which can be opened during Tavern business hours, really set this space apart. Additionally, there is a door that leads straight to/from West Ave., making it easier for people to walk in off the avenue.
In terms of merchandise, Brent mentioned that eventually, new merchandise will include a large variety of on-field, authentic, game-used, and autographed items. Additionally, fans can look forward to a new, small bookstore section. With the added space, it will be much easier to offer seasonal items, along with standard caps and tees all year round.

He also mentioned that the larger space is much more accommodating to the genuine shopping and browsing experience, which is what they want for the fans.

Reflecting on the spirit and identity of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, Brent said, “The Cannon Ballers’ mission statement is ‘to be the home of fun and inspiration,’ and I think the new store is one small part of that mission. After all, providing a welcoming and exciting space for fans to shop and explore is a bare necessity for any team or venue.
The store may be the first thing some people see before they even enter the park or see a game, and we want to provide a great first impression. Ultimately, we want everyone who comes to our park to HAVE A BLAST!”
