The Ben Mynatt Children’s Foundation (BMCF) continues its incredible mission of supporting local children’s charities in Cabarrus County. This year, the 23rd Annual Ben Mynatt Children’s Foundation Golf Classic, held in late September, brought the organization closer to its goal of distributing its next $1 million in grants. Having reached a monumental milestone of $1 million in giving in 2021, the foundation is now working toward the next chapter in its journey of generosity.

Gifts of Joy Supports Children’s Home
Cabarrus Brewing Company and Towel City Tavern are partnering this holiday season to launch the Gifts of Joy drive, supporting the Church of God Children’s Home in Concord as it recovers from Hurricane Helene. The storm’s aftermath, including the cancellation of the Home’s largest fundraiser, has strained resources while caring for over 20 children, including nine newly displaced by the hurricane.

In honor of their 50th anniversary, Cabarrus Meals on Wheels (CMOW) is hosting a Groovy 70s Gala to celebrate the year they were founded, 1974. Dress in your favorite throwback attire and dance to the tunes of the 70’s Kids Solid Gold tribute band.
