Cannon Ballers Games Are About Baseball and a Whole Lot More! Last week, Nash Wilbanks, a 9-year-old cancer patient from Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital was able to see the Cannon Ballers players as well as kids attending the game wearing the jersey he designed! This past winter, Nash participated in the Cannon Ballers’ annual Levine Children’s jersey design contest as a form of art therapy while receiving his chemotherapy treatment. Matt Millward, the GM of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, is heading to Paris to cheer on Team USA in the Olympics while raising funds for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Last year, the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers were awarded the 2023 Best Community Promotion or Event award at the MLB MiLB Fall Meetings in Las Vegas, for their Starry Night promotion event.
