Concord 101 and Kannapolis 101 Take You Behind the Scenes of Your City

Concord 101 and Kannapolis 101 are unique educational opportunities for citizens to learn more about the behind-the-scenes workings of local government. You’ll learn about everything from the police and fire departments, to city planning, parks and recreation, and even finance and economic development.

Kannapolis 101: a 9-week program that starts Sept 10th and continues each Tuesday until Oct 29th. Classes are held from 6–8:30pm at various city facilities. The program is free, and priority is given to Kannapolis residents.

Concord 101: a 14-week program that starts Aug 13th and continues every Tuesday, concluding with a graduation ceremony Nov 19th. Class is held from 6:15–8:30pm each week, and an additional afternoon class from 2–4:15pm may be offered, depending on demand. Deadline is Aug 4th at 11:59pm. Class size is limited and filled on a first-come first-served basis. Each session is limited to 30 participants for a total class size of 60.
