Gifts of Joy Supports Children’s Home
Cabarrus Brewing Company and Towel City Tavern are partnering this holiday season to launch the Gifts of Joy drive, supporting the Church of God Children’s Home in Concord as it recovers from Hurricane Helene. The storm’s aftermath, including the cancellation of the Home’s largest fundraiser, has strained resources while caring for over 20 children, including nine newly displaced by the hurricane.
How Can You Help?
🎁 Angel Trees: Choose a tag at Cabarrus Brewing or Towel City Tavern, buy and wrap the gift, and drop it off by Dec 18th.
🏠 Cottage Wishlists: Shop online from dedicated wishlists for essentials like mattresses, sheets, or kitchen supplies to support the cottages.
🛠️ Cottage Workday: Volunteer on Dec 20th (9am–3pm) to help restore a closed cottage, creating space for 12 more children. Skilled and general volunteers are needed! Register online.
Can’t make the workday, but still want to help make this space available for more kids? There is a huge need for materials for the work day. View the list online and see how you can contribute.
Visit the Gifts of Joy webpage to learn more and get involved, if you can, to support these kids.
