Veterans Park is a peaceful spot for reflection or just relaxing. Brick walkways, fountains and green spaces create a beautiful community gathering place. The park honors those who’ve served and also serves as a great spot for concerts and events in Kannapolis.
No figure looms larger over Kannapolis than hometown hero Dale Earnhardt, so a visit to the plaza that honors him is a must. Here, you’ll find a 900-pound, nine-foot-tall bronze statue of the legendary NASCAR driver. Every part of the plaza is rich in symbolism, paying homage to Earnhardt’s remarkable career and legacy.
