The City of Kannapolis announced a new shuttle will be available from 5–10pm every Friday and Saturday night to help guests of downtown navigate the area during peak busy times.
There are two West Avenue Express shuttles, which run on electricity, can accommodate 16 people, and are ADA accessible.
⚡🌩️ The two Express carts, nicknamed Lightning and Thunder, will make a continuous loop between four designated stops:
- The North Carolina Research Campus public parking deck
- Top of the horseshoe
- The First Baptist Church rear access area (all on N. Research Campus Drive)
- The intersection of West Avenue and Cannon Baller Way near the Swanee Theatre.
Look for the signage designating the express stops. A shuttle will arrive at each stop approximately every 5 minutes.
