Irish-based retail giant, Primark, known for its trendy yet affordable fashion, is making its North Carolina debut on Nov 16th.
Attention, fashion enthusiasts and bargain hunters in Cabarrus County! The much-anticipated Primark grand opening at Concord Mills Mall is set to take place this Thursday, Nov 16th with a wave of excitement, giveaways, and exclusive events that extend to Saturday, Nov 18th as well.
Grand Opening Festivities at Concord Mills
Doors open at 11am and if you’re an early bird, there’s a Special Giveaway waiting just for you. The TopCats (Carolina Panthers Cheerleaders) will be on hand, and for those in need of a caffeine fix, the Wild Roots Coffee pop-up has got you covered – but you better hustle, it’s first come, first served!
Fast forward to Saturday, Nov 18th, and Primark is continuing the celebration with FREE BBQ from A Pinch of Soul food truck at 12pm in the Primark parking lot.
But that’s not all – the Fashion Court in front of H&M is transforming into a fashion and beauty haven from 12 to 5pm. Indulge in a mini makeup touch-up or a hairstyle makeover and flaunt your style on the Primark runway photo booth. Say cheese and strike a pose!
Primark Looks to Create a Footprint in the North Carolina
Primark, with over 400 stores in 16 countries, has strategically expanded its presence in the United States since opening its flagship location in Boston in 2015. Kevin Tulip, President of Primark in the U.S., shared insights into the company’s journey and its thoughtful expansion plans.
- “Our success outside of Primark’s existing North-East footprint has shown that our formula of fashion and homewares at great value and low prices is resonating more widely. We recognize a gap in southern states which Primark is uniquely positioned to fill.”
The Concord Mills location, spanning more 30,000 square feet and situated next to Entrance 3, will offer a wide array of products, from clothing and beauty items to home decor. Tulip emphasized that Primark’s commitment is rooted in everyday affordability for everyone, ensuring that sustainable and stylish fashion is accessible to all.

In an interview with Cabarrus Weekly, Kevin Tulip shed light on Primark’s commitment to sustainability. He explained, “Primark Cares is the company’s commitment to doing better every day by making more sustainable products every one can afford, reducing its impact on the planet,” said Tulip. This commitment includes using recycled or sustainably sourced materials, designing recyclable clothing, and halving carbon emissions across the value chain. Primark’s Sustainable Cotton Program, launched in 2013, stands out as a leading initiative, training farmers to adopt sustainable farming practices.
Primark’s commitment to providing an unparalleled in-store experience is evident in its approach to brick-and-mortar retail.
- Tulip emphasized, “The Primark business model is built on our choice not to offer e-commerce, resulting in our ability to offer access to quality items at low prices.” The company’s new website format allows customers to explore products available in their specific location, creating a seamless shopping experience.

The recent Rita Ora x Primark collection, with prices starting at just $5, has garnered significant attention.
