As the final touches are being made to the Streetscape project, Downtown Concord is gearing up for another exciting development! On Aug 1st, a brand-new Social District will be introduced, adding to the city’s dynamic atmosphere.
- Within this district, patrons of downtown establishments holding ABC permits will have the opportunity to enjoy alcoholic beverages on sidewalks and other public areas. This initiative aims to enhance walkability, foster community engagement, and facilitate local programming.
🌟 🎨These enhancements will seamlessly complement existing events such as Art Walks, festivals, and concert series that enrich the downtown experience.
⏰To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, alcoholic beverages will be permitted within the district from 11 am to 10 pm, seven days a week. This exciting addition promises to further elevate the allure and liveliness of Downtown Concord for residents and visitors alike.
In 2021, Downtown Kannapolis was one of the first social districts approved in the entire state.
