This “Center for Hope” offers families with special needs children and adults, as well as the youth-at-risk community, a unique opportunity to “Soar on Wings like Eagles.” The ranch’s programs focus on strengthening participants physically, emotionally, and mentally, all while fostering self-esteem and self-confidence.
One of the standout features of Wings of Eagles Ranch is therapeutic horseback riding. This activity goes beyond the joy of riding horses; it has proven benefits such as strengthening and stretching muscles, improving balance and coordination, increasing confidence and self-esteem, creating a profound bond between horse and rider, and providing a sense of freedom that can be hard to find elsewhere.
The ranch has expanded its facilities to offer a wide array of outdoor adventures. These include low and high ropes courses, a 40-foot climbing wall, a thrilling 564-foot zipline, and fishing in a fully stocked pond, among other activities. These experiences are designed not only to build teamwork but also to boost self-confidence and provide lasting memories.
Wings of Eagles Ranch proudly serves both the special needs community and typically developing peers through their summer camps. These camps are a testament to their commitment to inclusivity, providing a space where everyone can grow, learn, and have fun together.
The ranch has a special place in its heart for veterans. The Wings of Warriors program meets monthly, providing a supportive community for veterans to connect and heal. Additionally, the annual All-American Appreciation Picnic is a heartfelt gesture of gratitude to honor those who have served.
Wings of Eagles Ranch is constantly evolving to better serve its community. In the near future, they plan to introduce weekend retreats with the construction of five retreat cabins. These cabins will offer families a serene escape to recharge, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

“Wings of Eagles ranch is a place where being able isn’t a matter of ability but of heart. Our family was introduced to the ranch when Chris Cronin agreed to back ride a ventilator while navigating tubing connecting the vent to my daughter, who was a quadriplegic, while assisting her in riding a horse. Brooke was the first vent patient the ranch ever had and since that day, the ranch has continued to overcome the seemingly impossible, to give an opportunity to those of all abilities a chance at normalcy and adventure. Following my daughter’s death, the ranch and the community of families that are a part of the ranch, have continued to provide a place for healing and hope for our family. Chris Cronin has a true servant’s heart, and what started as a mother’s passion to see her son overcome and succeed has been a blessing to so many in the special needs community and in Cabarrus County.”
